How do I register?

That’s easy! You can set up your team’s fundraising page online here . Please note the captain must register the team name before other members of the team can join the already existing team. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email.

**Important**: Please ensure that you have already registered with Ringette Scores on Cancer prior to setting up your fundraising page. For more information, and to register for the tournament, please visit http://www.ringettescoresoncancer.ca/

How do I confirm that my that my fundraising page has been set up?

You will receive an email confirmation. Or you can click on the “Donate” button above and type in your name. If you show up as a participant, then your page has been set up.

How do I make a donation to a team?

You can donate to a team by donating directly to an individual player. Unfortunately, we are unable to take group donations and ask you to choose an individual when making a donation. When the organizers add up the total for each team, your donation will be included within the team’s total.

How do I make a donation to an individual?

There are two ways to make a donation, the long way and the short way!

From the website:

  • You can make a donation to an individual member of the team or player by clicking the ‘Donate’ button.
  • From here you will choose whether you would like to donate to a Player/Participant or to make a General Donation. Choose the Player/Participant option. On the following page, you can either search for the participant by name or find them on the screen
  • Once you see the participant’s name, click on it to be taken to their Personal Fundraising page where you can find the ‘Donate Today’ button.
  • Fill in your contact information, home address, donation amount and credit card information. Clink on the ‘Donate Now’ button on the bottom of the form/screen to complete your donation.
  • You should receive an electronic tax receipt shortly after completing your donation.

From an email link:

Follow the link provided in the email you may have received from the participant. You will be directed to the participant’s Personal Fundraising page. Click on the ‘Donate Today’ button and fill in your contact information, home address, donation amount and credit card information. Click on the ‘Donate Now’ button on the bottom of the form/screen to complete your donation. You should receive an electronic tax receipt shortly after completing your donation.

Parents/Guardians must be logged out of their child’s account in order to make a donation and receive a tax receipt.

Why isn’t my donation showing up on the participant’s personal fundraising page?

In order for a donation to show up on the participant’s personal fundraising page, you must directly donate to that participant by clicking on the ‘Donate Now’ button on their Personal Fundraising Page (See: ‘How do I make a donation to an individual’ for more details). Once you have accessed the participant’s personal fundraising page (either by searching for them on the website or through the link they provided via email), you can click on the ‘Donate Today’ button on their page and follow the steps. Your donation should show up within 24 hours.

In the event it does not show up, please ensure you have not been charged for your donation and check the ‘General Donation’ page to see if you made a donation there by mistake.

What if I made a donation to the ‘General Donation’ page by mistake?

If you made a donation to the General Donation page instead of an individual participant/player, please email the Alberta Cancer Foundation Events Team (email located on ‘Contact Us’ page) with your name, email, amount donated, date, and explanation as to which participant/player the donation was intended.

Is my information shared with anyone?

Your registration information is shared with the event organizers of this event in order to facilitate a safe and enjoyable event for all participants.

Will my credit card information be secure?

Yes. We use SSL encryption techniques to protect all your credit card and personal information. Credit card numbers are not stored in our database.
